Hopper's Fuel Pressure Gauge"

with new liquid filled gauge...
With all the concern over failing lift pumps on 24
valve trucks, and no test gauges readily availble to
the general public, a way to check fuel pressure had
to be found for those diesel owners who don't wish to
be bothered with the expense or hassle of in-cab
full-time fuel pressure gauges.
Of course, we still strongly recommend that you have
such an in-cab gauge installed, the test gauge is
simply an inexpensive temporary solution, and a means
to check the fuel pressure on your friends' trucks,
too. If you do have a full-time gauge, it then becomes
an easy way to verify the accuracy of that gauge, or
to read your fuel pressures pre-filter. Your
full-time gauge will most likey be installed
post-filter.
'99 and older trucks will receive a set of fittings
that tap into the top of the fuel filter housing, and
can be left in place, thereby creating two test ports.
The
gauge hose is long enough to allow the gauge
itself to reach the windshield, allowing you to obtain
that all-important reading at wide open throttle. "
