24-Valve
Fuel Systems and Accessories:
Complete
Fuel Systems:
As we all know, the fuel system is one of the weak links
on fhe 1998.5 to 2002 Dodge Rams equipped with the 24-Valve
Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.
Even on an unmodified truck, the stock fuel system is
barely adequate.
3/8" fuel hose is used from
the stock fuel tank pickup, attached with an exclusive
factory style connector, on the fuel tank forward to the
FASS
Filtration System.
The same 3/8" fuel hose is
used to connect the FASS
Filtration System
all the way to the VP44 Injection
Pump. This system eliminates all of the stock fuel feed
lines and the stock fuel filter, because it has a fuel
filter built into it.
This system also has a fuel return line that simply ties
into the factory vent tube, located along the side of
the tank filler neck.
The entire unit is supplied with heavy duty brackets that
allows you to mount it on the outside of the frame, just
behind the cab.
Wiring is extremely simple with a fused wiring harness
that simply plugs into the factory lift pump harness and
is routed back to the FASS Filtration System.
The FASS
filtration system does more than supply mass quantities
of fuel to your truck and supply superior filtration.
It also removes the entrained air out of the fuel. Diesel
fuel is 16% air by volume, and this air reduces the efficiency
of the injection system. By removing the air before the
injection system, we create more power, less smoke, and
an overall better running truck.
Complete detailed instructions are included.
Also available
is the all new FASS 2 High pressure fuel pump. All of
the same great benefits of the FASS system less the filtration
and air removal. Being on a budget now means you don't
have to sacrifice quality.
